Red Bull Cliff Diving Submission Success

The countdown for the 2009 edition of the Red Bull Cliff Diving Series 2009 is on! The French city of La Rochelle will be the world capital of one of the most elite extreme sports of all times. The main players come from nine different countries and are already in town, anxious to meet their goal - a platform fixed onto the historical Saint Nicolas tower at a height of 26 meters.

Only the best among the best have a shot at the title of the most serious cliff diving competition ever held, an eight-leg tour that is on its countdown at the French city of La Rochelle. A dozen of the best high divers, plus two wildcards athletes, have already did the first survey in the event area. Now they are preparing themselves to go deeper with the first training sessions booked for the afternoon. For them, "D" day will be on Friday - a national bank holiday in France that celebrates the end of World War II.
