The season's first stop on the sold-out snowboarding tour was in Beijing on December 3 for Oakley & Shaun White Present Air & Style, followed by the Bergisel Stadium in Innsbruck, Austria, for the Billabong Air & Style on February 4. Prize money at the both events was just over £60,000 and the world's elite boarders turned up with all their finest moves.
Finland's Peetu Piiroinen took the win in Innsbruck, just ahead of Belgium's Seppe Smits and Sweden's Niklas Mattsson. But it was Red Bull athlete Smits who won the crown for overall TTR Big Air Champion 2012 after tallying enough points over the series.
