It was an Austrian clean sweep at the opening FIS Ski Jumping World Cup event of the season in Kuusamo, Finland, as Thomas Morgenstern takes pleasure in explaining in his latest blog...
Hi guys!
What a crazy start into the new season! We had to wait for quite a while, but finally we have been allowed to slide down the in-run.
And Austria dominated both competitions. We performed very well and clearly won the team competition. In the individual contest we celebrated a triple-victory. We will definitely always remember this day. Yeah!!
Congratulations to Andi Kofler for winning despite of the very hard conditions. I personally had some problems with sight due to heavy snowfall, but I am of course very, very happy with the result.
Right now we are on the way to Oslo. There we will enter the bus and move on to Lillehammer. Tomorrow we will start with the training at 3 p.m. Before midday I will spend two hours in the gym.
Have a nice week!
Best,
Thomas
