Thomas Morgenstern moved into fourth place in the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup standings with a second place in the Czech Republic at the weekend, as he expands upon in his latest blog...
Hi guys!
I’m back to Austria. I am very happy with the weekend and I’m on the right track.
It has been a difficult start and it took some time to get used to the hill in Harrachov. Also the conditions haven’t been really easy for most of the time. But I improved my performance with every single jump and I’m very grateful for the second place yesterday.
I’m also happy with the team competition. Although I’m still not performing at 100 percent, I’m feeling very confident. There are only some small things left to work on. The more self confidence I get, the easier it will be. So I should be at my best for the Four Hills Tournament.
By the way, congratulations to Richard Freitag [the winner in Harrachov]. He put in a great performance and definitely deserved the victory. I’m really happy that a young and talented German team is rising at the moment.
So we are all looking forward to an exciting Four Hills Tournament. :) Engelberg will be the last comeptition and the last chance for adaptions before Christmas Eve. We will start our journey on Thursday.
Have a nice week!
Best wishes,
Thomas
