About: Located in the eastern part of Germany between Dresden and Berlin, the EuroSpeedway Lausitz is one of the most modern test and race courses in Europe. Originally built on the grounds of a former open cast mine it was first named 'Lausitzring', but later renamed for better international communication. The course first threw open its doors back in August of 2000, meaning this year it celebrates its 10th anniversary, and what better birthday present can there be than two days of the Red Bull Air Race?

The Red Bull Air Race at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz is really an exceptional one. It is the first Air Race which is held on a permanent race course. Furthermore it is the only one in the whole series which takes place ashore. Therefore the race airport and the race course are placed on one area and the fans have the unique possibility to experience the pilots and the teams very close the whole time.
