The highest point for artistic inspiration has arrived in the city of Lisbon. Red Bull House of Art is nested in an unlikely place, namely the former water tank at the city's most challenging creative pole, LX Factory. With a 360 degree view over the seven hills and river, it's the perfect place to stimulate new visions in the creative process, with the aim of embracing and nurturing freshness, as well as complementing an already vibrant Lisbon circuit. Four artists, chosen by respected curators will entertain one at a time on a 10-week journey.

Jorge Maciel is Filipa Oliveira's guest artist for the first residency. This nonconformist artist, coming from Vila de Punhe, graduated in Visual Arts at Escola Superior de Arte e Design, in Caldas da Rainha, and has shown his work in various cities around the country. During his young, promising career, he has developed eminently sui generis installation works, all of them built with materials recovered from trash and punctuated by several mechanisms and automatisms, granting his pieces a charisma that is impossible to ignore.

Red Bull House of Art is the ultimate nest for contemporary artistic creation. A place where everything aims for the most exuberant artistic inspiration, where creators finally reach the extraordinary, showing it to the world to sublimate thoughts and elevate consciousness. Jorge Maciel will emerge from his creative cocoon on the 15th of April to reveal the materialisation of his dreams to the world.
