About Jonas
German rider Jonas Folger joined the Red Bull MotoGP Academy aged just 12, such was his promise, and his talent was evident as he finished third in the highly competitive Spanish 125cc Championship despite his tender years.
Gaining World Championship experience in 2008 with a series of rides on a KTM, his debut proper the following season was impressive as he scored a podium and finished 12th overall. A troubled 2010 was put behind him in 2011 when, with Aki Ajo's team, he registered his first race victory and was sixth in the final standings.
In 2012 he tackles Moto3, with the Italian Ioda team.
